"Conatus"-Latin for effort; endeavor; impulse, inclination, tendency; undertaking. In other words, the inertia to create!

Conatus productions’ goal is to bring different groups of artists together, creating a dialogue and community among them, resulting in an integration of ideas for each new venture.  Our aim is to continue to make exhilarating, inspiring, and challenging work through these collaborations, meanwhile pushing performers and performance into new territory. The goal is to encourage interaction and discussion among people, both artists and audience members alike, challenging the notions of what a show can be and who or what is part of the creation of that show.

Conatus Productions was created by Miss MegsD and Rita MenWeep in January 2010.
